I thought I'd try out web development as my part against dead internet theory, which I think is a worthy cause. It's sort of a step up from posting on social media and allows for more artistic expression. I originally found out about these sorts of "old web" sites via a search engine called Marginalia and also with a lot of other little web searches. I generally spend a lot of time on my laptop and have a many things to say so there's also personal aspect to publishing this site. I just felt I wanted to contain my thoughts and experiences here in my own private space.
Info on BlackCat #
I'm a 20 y/o university student who lives in the US, I also don't study CS believe it or not. I generally spend most of my time listening to music or web surfing but I also like to read occasionally (and I have some book recomendations too). My hobbies generally include: digital art on my Wacom tablet, linux, OSU (the rhythm game), and walking around my neighborhood at night.
Now #
What have I been up to? #
Well, I transferred from my old college to an insitute/university (I don't know the exact difference between the two) and I think things will go well over there aside from the difficulty bump in work. My reasons for transferring were just related to how the college and social life felt to me as well as some more personal details that I won't go into here.
What am I doing? #
At the moment I'm working a boring job in order to save up enough to move into a sublet when my transfer begins in the fall. Greater independence makes me feel freer to do what I want. Like a bird flying.
What are my future plans? #
Aside from moving out, I'd say probably learning piano, I'll buy a nicer budget piano ~$200 and that should scratch my musical itch that I've been having. I've wanted to play guitar for a number of years but piano is more flexible and you can plug headphones in to practice without creating any noise. I've though about learning another language, maybe Dutch? German? Russian? Oh also I think 3D printers are really cool but I'll leave off on too many things at once.
Things I've done? #
Currently, I've passed a checkpoint of becoming a 3rd year student with a few physics and math related courses done (not that I'm good at math).
